Hi all--free wifi tonight. Our support group in Madison was open to spouses and so was the one we had in. Rockford. See if he can go to the one you go to.

Spain is hot and more mountainous than I knew. I fell getting off the escalator at the airport because one of our group took one of those big luggage carts on it and then couldn't get it off so I fell over the cart and smashed my nose! Lucky not to break anything but I'm sore and not enjoying the walking. Tomorrow we have a walking tour of this city. I may not go. We'll see in the am. Tonight we have dinner at 8. The usual dinner time here is 9:30. Oh well. That's the point of travel--new adventures!

take care, Connie

No where near the same thing but there is a Spouse support board on here.  He might find some support on there.  I don't know how active the board is...I never been on that board before.

Top of the day to you! Cool, I was in Oregon, IL. too about 2.5 months ago. Glad you had a great time.

Glad you made it to the Blackhawk statue. Indeed it was fun. There is a youtube video of the Blackhawk statue that shows that you can go inside of the statue called "Inside Blackhawk statue -- July - 17 - 2010". Just to let you know.

Have a great day.

Lisa, talk to the Kane Center. Dr. Crane would be the one to talk to. He does all the support groups.

Glad you had a good camping weekend. I think we all lucked out.

Does anyone know of any support groups for the spouses of people having WLS?  We live in Lisle, and my hubby would love to find a group where he could get some support.  And if you don't know of any groups, would your spouses be willing to start one?  I saw there was a forum on here, but noone has posted on it in over a year.

Thanks!!!

Lisa

Hello All

Long time no post!  Same old story, by the time I get home I am burned out.  I have enjoyed having 3 days off and have caught up on my sleep and my rest and feel great now!  This morning my sister called at 1030 and we were still in bed but she invited us to Maggiano's for lunch in Naperville.  So we got up showered and dressed, hopped in the car and off we went.  It was really yummy and we have LOTS of leftovers!  Now we are home and relaxing.

Work has been a zoo.  With staff cut back we are swamped. And it will only get worse.  With call centers opening in India and the Phillipenes, customers are not happy campers and we certainly get an earful and cannot say a thing.  Such fun!

Not much else is happening here.  Just work, home and sleep.  The cats are behaving.  Nibbles is being a clown.  He is too funny.  We get cat wars over the perches and certain beds.  It is a rio****ching one cat try to convince another to give up prime real estate!

I do read daily.  I promise to post more often!

we had a family gathering yesterday. Today, I am just doing what I do best! Nothing! Tomorrow back to work. I may take a ride out to my daughters property, they are building a new home and I would like to see the progress! Nothing else is going on.

Hi All,

I am glad that you made it back yesterday. Holiday driving is really crazy coming in from Wi.

We are playing it by ear today. No real plans to do anything. I am going to water the flowers, cause they are saying rain, but not widespread.  That means if i water, it will rain and if I don't it won't.

I am also geting ready for work this week. I only have 2 days this week, but it is the start.

Have a safe and great day.

Hugs,

Lisa
